‘Avoid selling’ your maize to FRA, advise UPND’s Muzaza

UNITED Party for National Development—UPND member Aubrey Muzaza has called on farmers in Serenje District to avoid selling all their maize to the Food Reserve Agency or to briefcase buyers.

Speaking following a warning from the Zambia Meteorological Department about possible drought due to changing weather patterns, Muzaza urged farmers to keep enough maize for home consumption to prevent hunger.

He said setting aside grain now would help households withstand any food shortages that may arise in the coming season.

Meanwhile, Muzaza also encouraged residents of Serenje and Zambians at large not to overlook what he described as the achievements of the ruling UPND government ahead of the general elections.

He said President Hakainde Hichilema has the country’s best interests at heart and is capable of providing steady leadership.

The former UPND Chairman for Serenje cited peace and the free education policy as some of the key contributions made by the UPND administration.
