UKRAINIAN LONG-RANGE DRONES REPORTEDLY STRIKE UFA—MORE THAN 1,500 KM FROM THE FRONT LINE
Overnight, Ukrainian long-range strike drones reportedly attacked Ufa, the capital of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan, more than 1,500 kilometers from the front line and among the deepest strikes of the war.
According to OSINT monitoring channels, at least two impacts were recorded, with the likely target being one of Ufa’s major oil refineries. Thick black smoke was seen rising over the city’s industrial zone.
Ufa is home to three major oil refineries, and it is not yet confirmed which facility was struck.
The distance alone highlights how dramatically Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities have evolved. A target located over 1,500 kilometers from active combat is far beyond what many considered feasible at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Facilities once thought safely beyond the reach of the war are now increasingly vulnerable to Ukrainian deep-strike operations.
