Ukrainian Drones Strike Wildberries Logistics Hub and Oil Refineries Deep Inside Russia
Ukrainian long-range drones reportedly carried out strikes against strategic logistics and energy infrastructure deep inside Russia during the night of August 4–5.
In Aleksin, Tula Oblast, drones reportedly struck a major Wildberries warehouse and distribution center, covering approximately 194,500 square meters.
A large fire reportedly broke out across much of the facility, sending thick smoke into the air. The company evacuated employees and temporarily suspended parcel intake following the incident.
Ukrainian officials have alleged that large logistics facilities operated by Wildberries were being used to store and transport electronic components, drone equipment and military supplies. These claims have not been independently verified.
Meanwhile, in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Ukrainian long-range drones reportedly targeted the Bashneft refinery complex, operated under Russia’s Rosneft group.
The Ufa complex consists of the Bashneft-UNPZ, Bashneft-Novoil and Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim refineries, with combined processing capacity reportedly exceeding 23.5 million tonnes of crude oil annually.
Russian authorities said air-defense systems intercepted several drones, but debris and an explosive device reportedly fell within an industrial area, triggering a fire at the refinery complex.
The reported strikes highlight Ukraine’s continued use of long-range drones against Russian logistics and energy infrastructure, with some targets located more than 1,600 kilometers from Ukrainian territory.
