Lamborghini-driving Kelsea Tadiwa Tafirenyika, 22, hauled before court after police allegedly find 204 pethidine and morphine ampoules and dagga during raid on luxury Harare home
A 22-year-old woman was hauled before the courts after detectives allegedly found her counting pethidine ampoules on her bed before uncovering 204 ampoules of pethidine and morphine, along with five rods of dagga, during a raid on her luxury Greystone Park home.
Kelsea Tadiwa Tafirenyika, of 4 Edgehill Close, Greystone Park, Harare, appeared before Harare magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa charged with unlawfully dealing in dangerous drugs after the CID Drugs and Narcotics operation. She was remanded in custody pending a bail ruling today.
According to the State’s request for remand, detectives received information on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, alleging that Tafirenyika was dealing in pethidine from her residence.
The court papers state that at about 8pm, detectives arrived at the property and allegedly found the 22-year-old “seated on her bed counting some ampoules placing them on the bed.”
After identifying themselves as police officers, detectives allegedly recovered eight ampoules of Fresenius Pethidine, 10 ampoules of Verpat Pethidine and seven 1ml ampoules of Fresenius Morphine Sulphate from her.
A further search of the bedroom allegedly uncovered 72 ampoules of Verpat Pethidine, 64 ampoules of Fresenius Pethidine and 43 ampoules of Morphine Sulphate hidden in drawers.
Police also searched the accused’s white Lamborghini, where they allegedly recovered “five rods of dagga from the driver’s arm rest,” the remand papers state.
The State says the seized dangerous drugs are valued at US$204.
The remand papers state: “The accused person was found in actual possession of the dangerous drugs,” adding: “There are witnesses to testify.”
Tafirenyika is charged with unlawfully dealing in dangerous drugs in contravention of Section 156(1)(a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act [Chapter 9:23].
