I AM NOT OVERLY VESTED IN POLITICS AND THEIR OUTCOME AND HERE IS WHY
To those of you that are reading personal things in my criticism of President Hichilema, let me tell you the truth that lies at the deepest bottom of my heart.
Politics don’t mean much to me. This is exemplified by the fact that despite the so many years of my journalism practice, I hardly know politicians up-close and personal.
The fact that I was offered a job I did not seek, accepted it and for a small number of years – four years and four months – worked in foreign service didn’t mean I was an insider.
I wasn’t and I have never been an insider. To every political party, I am an outsider none can ever bring into their ranks.
I have never been a member of any political party but by mere association. The media and communication consultancies I have done with those close to government have been mistaken for political affiliation and membership.
Yes, in my professional life, I have met a few people who are now as close to me as family members – ambassadors Emmanuel Mwamba and Anthony Mukwita and Chiza Nkhowani.
In terms of organizations, the only one in which I have been an insider is the Seventh-day Adventist Church. What this movement has taught me about God and the position of the world on the prophetic calendar significantly dims the light on politics and my personal struggles.
Admittedly, I have had significant personal challenges lately which have led in some instances to strained relationships but the knowledge of who Christ is and the imminence of His return to planet earth to wrap up the plan of redemption conceived before creation gives me all the more reason to endure one more day.
For me, I can say it as a matter of fact that other than my Adventist knowledge and experience, nothing else holds any meaning in my life and nothing is worth defending or dying for.
This is why I find it strange when people come to my page and get all personal and insult me. I don’t get it. And I don’t feel them. What I write about occupies a peripheral and insignificant corner of my life.
If President Hichilema and any of his supporters take what I write personally, that’s regrettable. Please, snap out of that situation. The second coming of Christ is a much more important object to focus on than winning an election. Seek to win election into the kingdom Christ went to prepare for you and me.
And let everybody say: Amen!

You have consistently made yourself irrelevant to the facts obtaining on the ground and have documented yourself as a sworn enemy of the transformative changes effected by HH in the lives of thousands of Zambians.
Just say you now realise that you have been supporting losers. You are sensing the victory of the one person you have been criticising and want to create a soft landing when HH wins in 2 weeks tome. You have been needlessly fighting the one person whose heart is in the right place and have left a record you can not go back and erase. No vested interest is a total lie. You can fool yourself and believe your own lies. But anyone can see through your BS.
