Iranian President Says Adversaries Planned to Take Control of Iran Within 48 Hours
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran’s adversaries believed they could take control of the country within 48 hours, drawing a comparison to the rapid political and military developments that occurred in Syria.
Speaking on Iranian state television on August 5, Pezeshkian said hostile powers had expected the Islamic Republic to collapse quickly but that their plans ultimately failed.
