Health workers recruited under President Hakainde Hichilema’s directive will receive special consideration during the ongoing Civil Service Commission recruitment exercise, the commission has announced.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka on Thursday, Civil Service Commission Chairperson Dr. Choolwe Beyani said the commission has already received details of health workers recruited under the presidential directive from Muchinga, Luapula and Northern provinces, while information from the remaining provinces is still being awaited.
Dr. Beyani said applicants identified as having been recruited under the presidential directive would be recognised during the recruitment process.
However, he did not clarify what would happen to those recruited under the directive who failed to submit applications before the recruitment deadline.
