UNITED STATES: ‘I Hate Them’: Woman Charged After Attack On Jewish Man Inside North Miami Beach Target
Chyvonne Juanita Palmer, 43, was arrested after attacking a man wearing a yarmulke inside the Starbucks at the Target on Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami Beach.
According to police, Palmer approached the man, began yelling at him, and struck him twice with her cellphone, hitting his head and shoulder.
She then grabbed a metal chair, raised it, and moved toward him again while repeatedly shouting, “I hate them.”
Two bystanders intervened, stopped Palmer, and helped the victim get to safety in a nearby bathroom until officers arrived.
Palmer faces charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with prejudice, and disorderly conduct. Investigators say the attack was motivated by the victim’s Jewish faith.
