Court update: Nakachinda has been convicted
NAKACINDA FINED K2,400 FOR SEDITIOUS PRACTICES
The Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has sentenced and fined politician Raphael Nakacinda K2,400 for a charge of seditious practices.
Magistrate Sylvia Munyinya ruled that the fine must be paid immediately or Nakacinda will serve 3-months simple imprisonment in default.
The charge relates to remarks Mr. Nakacinda made that former President Edgar Lungu’s residence in Chifwema was to be raided by law enforcement agencies in September 2024.
