HH seals North-Western Province support ahead of polls
… concludes his intense multi-district campaign trail, urging massive voter turnout

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has concluded his extensive tour of North-Western Province with an aggressive call to action, demanding a decisive voter turnout in the upcoming Thursday election to shield Zambia from retreating into its past economic and social vulnerabilities.
The President capped off a high-octane community engagement campaign, validating public support across multiple strongholds, including Kasempa, Mufumbwe and Ikelenge.
Addressing thousands of citizens who gathered at his final stops, Mr Hichilema emphasised that the massive turnouts—comprising women, men, youth and children—signaled deep-rooted solidarity with the UPND governance model.
“This is not the time to lose the gains our country has made this far,” Mr Hichilema urged the crowd in Kasempa District, his final stop in the province.
“Let’s protect them by voting for the UPND,” he urged the crowd.
Throughout his multi-district addresses, the Head of State pivoted heavily toward tangible socio-economic growth, contrasting current administrative strides against the hardships of prior regimes.
In Ikelenge, Mr Hichilema reminded residents of past regional neglect, promising that the tough times were permanently being turned into national progress.
He specifically pledged enhancing the localised production and processing of pineapples, expanding safe, thriving mining operations alongside major job and business creation.
Mr Hichelema said he would excelerate the construction of vital urban and rural roads., scaling up agriculture support, health facilities and schools.
In Mufumbwe, the President expressed immense gratitude for the thousands of supporters who packed his meeting, reiterating his administration’s mantra of consistent delivery and care for the population.
Closing his tour, President Hichilema underscored the upcoming Thursday vote as a critical defensive line for national stability, peace and civil liberties.
He explicitly warned against backtracking into previous eras marked by the mistreatment of citizens by public office holders.
“There is no point of return to those old bad days,” Mr Hichilema stated. “Your only task is to go and vote for us this coming week on Thursday.”
With the North-Western campaign trail now concluded, the UPND shifts its machinery toward voter mobilisation, banking heavily on the region’s enthusiastic reception to translate into a commanding victory at the polls.
