UPND TOO TRIBAL, DIVIDING THE NATION, SAYS BINWELL MPUNDU
Binwell Mpundu says Zambians made a mistake by ignoring the warning of Zambia’s founding President, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, who allegedly cautioned that Hakainde Hichilema would divide the country.
Mpundu says it is now evident that President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND are promoting tribalism, alleging that even their campaign messages are based on tribal lines.
He says Zambians must quickly realise how President Hichilema and the UPND are allegedly dividing the nation.
In a video posted on his Facebook platform, Mr. Mpundu claimed that Dr. Kenneth Kaunda’s warning that Mr. Hichilema would divide the country has come true.
He said Zambians ignored Dr. Kaunda’s alleged warning that the UPND would “destroy the country,” accusing the ruling party of denying people access to campaign freely in North-Western, Western and Southern provinces.
Mr. Mpundu also branded President Hichilema as tribal and divisive, alleging that while he preaches “One Zambia, One Nation” in some parts of the country, he uses different and divisive messages when addressing people in Western, North-Western and Southern provinces.
Speaking on the issue of political violence, Mr. Mpundu said entire villages in Western and Southern provinces should gang up against UPND cadres and beat them, arguing that citizens have the right to defend themselves against politically motivated violence.
He also accused the Zambia Police Service of failing to protect citizens and of being too friendly with UPND cadres.
Mr. Mpundu further said the Patriotic Front was voted out of power because of cadreism, political violence and corruption, but claimed that the situation has only worsened under the UPND. He urged Zambians to vote the ruling party out of office.
He also called on citizens to protect their votes, regardless of who emerges victorious.
The UPND has not yet commented on or responded to the allegations, while the Zambia Police Service has also not responded to Mr. Mpundu’s claims of bias.

what difference will you provide over free Education and CDF which has made a huge difference in our country. Remember, this is working. I agree it needs more perfection but at least it works. So tell us your plans. We don’t need your venting.
This time around politicians need to understand that this elections is not a shouting competition. It is about real evaluation of your performance . So far your past performance makes you guys the worst candidates after the mess you left and which your friends are cleaning up.
No, guys you petty issues of hatred will not become our yard stick it is cheap and stupid. Just open your mouth and say what alternative you bring to the table. If you don’t you automatically disqualify yourself. How can we vote for people who don’t have any clue of sorting out the many problems they created.
This is a no brainer. We are better off sticking with what is working than on speculation and wishful thanking.
