North Korea Could Deploy Up to 120 Ballistic Missiles to Russia
According to a Reuters report published on August 5, 2026, a North Korean missile unit of around 90 personnel has reportedly begun deploying to Russia’s Voronezh region.
Ukrainian military intelligence says the unit could potentially be equipped with up to 120 ballistic missiles and six launchers, which could be used in strikes against Ukraine.
North Korea has already supplied Russia with ballistic missiles that have reportedly been used in the war against Ukraine. The deployment of another major missile force could place additional pressure on Ukraine’s already stretched air-defense network, including US-made Patriot systems.
