SOURTHERN POLICE ASSURES TONSE PAMODZI ALLIANCE OF ADEQUATE SECURITY
Police in Southern Province have assured the Tonse Pamodzi Alliance of adequate security during its campaign activities ahead of the August 13th general election.
Speaking to Hot FM News, Southern Province Police Commissioner Moono Namalongo said police are committed to ensuring that all political parties and candidates are able to campaign freely, provided they adhere to the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) campaign timetable and operate within the confines of the law.
Mr. Namalongo said police will provide security to all political players without discrimination and ensure a peaceful campaign environment across the province.
He, however, warned that individuals or political groups who conduct campaign activities outside the provisions of the law or disregard the ECZ campaign timetable will face appropriate legal action.
