Iran Says Full Hormuz Opening Depends on U.S. Acceptance of Its Conditions

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reportedly stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not be fully reopened unless the United States accepts Iran’s conditions and recognizes its sovereignty

The IRGC also rejected the idea that Oman could independently determine the terms for reopening the strategic waterway, describing Omani-mediated technical discussions as a coordination framework rather than a final agreement.

Iran reportedly maintains that there will be no unrestricted reopening of the strait for U.S. military vessels or commercial shipping linked to opposing parties until its conditions are addressed.
