MUKUKA URGES ZAMBIAN YOUTHS TO REFLECT ON PAST FIVE YEARS WHEN VOTING
Renowned Zambian youth advocate Mukuka Kampamba, popularly known as Tiza Mukuka, has urged young people across the country to critically reflect on the past five years when deciding who to vote for in next week’s presidential election.
In a statement issued to the Zambian Post on Friday, Mukuka urged youths to assess the performance, achievements and impact of the current leadership on their lives before casting their ballots.
Mukuka said leaders are elected to make a meaningful difference in the lives of citizens across various sectors, adding that Election Day provides voters with an opportunity to hold leaders accountable for their performance.
He encouraged young voters to make informed decisions based on their experiences over the past five years rather than being influenced by political rhetoric.
Zambians will go to the polls on August 13, with incumbent President Hakainde Hichilema and opposition candidate Brian Mundubile of the NRPUP among the leading contenders in the presidential race.
