Former Lusaka Deputy Mayor Hon. Ketty Nanyangwe and UPND aspiring Lusaka Mayor Mr. Chitambala Mwewa have joined forces to strengthen the campaign and secure victory for Republican President Hakainde Hichilema (HH) and all UPND candidates in the 13 August 2026 elections.
Hon. Nanyangwe has endorsed Mr. Chitambala Mwewa and called on her supporters and all UPND members to remain united and focused on the bigger picture: the continued leadership of President HH and the development agenda of the New Dawn Government.
The two leaders have urged UPND supporters to put aside personal differences and work together as one team. They emphasised the importance of mobilising voters, supporting all UPND candidates, and ensuring a strong turnout on election day.
Hon. Nanyangwe said the party’s strength comes from unity and teamwork, urging supporters to remain peaceful, disciplined, and focused during the final days of the campaign.
