KIM JONG UN: “OUR NUCLEAR STATUS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE”
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has issued a fresh warning to the country’s adversaries, claiming that they are avoiding direct confrontation with Pyongyang because they fear the consequences of a conflict with a nuclear-armed North Korea.
Kim said North Korea is “sufficiently prepared” to confront its enemies and pointed to the country’s nuclear and ballistic-missile capabilities as a major deterrent.
“Attacking us is tantamount to having a direct confrontation with death. Our nuclear status is non-negotiable,” Kim said.
He also claimed that North Korea’s powerful ballistic missiles are capable of reaching targets across the world, while accusing hostile countries of seeking to destroy his regime but being unwilling to risk a direct confrontation.
Kim’s remarks reinforce Pyongyang’s long-standing position that its nuclear weapons are essential to national security and will not be surrendered through negotiations.
The statement comes amid continued tensions surrounding North Korea’s missile and nuclear programs, as well as growing military cooperation between Pyongyang and its strategic partners.
Kim’s message is clear: North Korea considers its nuclear arsenal a permanent element of its national defense, and any attempt to eliminate it would be treated as a direct confrontation.
