IF MUNDUBILE GETS 4 VOTES IN DUNDUMWEZI, I WILL RESIGN AS MP — EDGAR SING’OMBE.
United Party for National Development (UPND) Dundumwezi aspiring Member of Parliament Edgar Sing’ombe says he will resign as Member of Parliament if Brian Mundubile gets just four votes in the constituency.
Mr. Sing’ombe says if he wins the Dundumwezi parliamentary seat and Mr. Mundubile manages to secure four votes, he will immediately tender his resignation as MP.
Posting on his official Facebook page, Mr. Sing’ombe claims that residents of Dundumwezi do not even know who Brian Mundubile is or what he stands for.
He says the people of Dundumwezi have neither heard of Mr. Mundubile nor the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance.
According to Mr. Sing’ombe, residents are more familiar with other opposition figures, including Harry Kalaba of Citizen First and Fred M’membe of the Socialist Party.
“If Brian Mundubile and Toonse Pamodzi Alliance will be able to get four votes in Dundumwezi, then I will resign as Member of Parliament for the constituency,” he stated.
“Brian Mundubile is not known here in Dundumwezi. We can mention people like Harry Kalaba of Citizen First and Fred M’membe of the Socialist Party because they are known here. They can get some votes. But for Brian Mundubile and his camp, I’m ready to resign if they get a simple four votes,” he stated.
