MWILA SECURES CANDLES AHEAD OF CATHOLIC CANDLE LIGHT PRAYER
Independent aspiring Lusaka Mayor Simon Mulenga Mwila says he has started securing candles ahead of the Catholic Candle Light Prayer scheduled for Wednesday.
Mr. Mwila said he would visit different Catholic parishes in Lusaka to donate candles to enable as many people as possible to participate in the prayer.
“I have started securing candles ahead of the Catholic Candle Light Prayer this Wednesday,” Mr. Mwila said.
He said the prayer was particularly important as Zambia prepares to hold general elections on Thursday, stressing the need for peace before, during and after the polls.
Mr. Mwila urged Zambians to commit the country to God through prayer and expressed hope that the nation would remain peaceful throughout the electoral period.
“As Zambia goes to the polls on Thursday, I pray for peace before, during and after the elections,” he said.
God looks at the heart not outward appearances.
