NORTH KOREA’S MILITARY SUPPORT TO RUSSIA REPORTEDLY REACHES RECORD LEVELS

North Korea has dramatically expanded its military cooperation with Russia, reportedly supplying artillery shells, rockets, missiles, ammunition and military personnel to support Moscow’s war effort in Ukraine.

Some estimates circulating online put the total value of North Korean military support at around $15 billion, although the figure is difficult to independently verify and should be treated cautiously.

Pyongyang has reportedly become an increasingly important source of ammunition for Russia, helping Moscow sustain its high-intensity artillery campaign.

The deepening partnership has also raised concerns in Washington, Seoul and other Western capitals that Russia could provide North Korea with advanced military technology, economic assistance or battlefield expertise in return.

The growing Russia-North Korea military relationship is increasingly being viewed as a broader security challenge extending beyond the war in Ukraine.
