THEY CREATE FAKE STORIES TO POCKET DONATED MONEY, SAYS MILES SAMPA
Patriotic Front President Miles Sampa has accused the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance of creating what he describes as “fake stories” to justify keeping money donated by Zambians for election activities.
Mr. Sampa says he knew from the moment the Alliance started soliciting donations from members of the public that individuals would eventually come up with an excuse to pocket the money.
He says the alleged behavior of pocketing funds by some individuals within the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance is not new, claiming that the same individuals exhibited similar behavior while in Government and at party level.
Mr. Sampa has further dismissed as fake the claim that money meant for polling agents was taken by the State, saying the allegation is being created to enable certain individuals to benefit from the donated funds
He says the behavior of some individuals who have regrouped under the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance will not change.
“They are creating a fake story that money has been gotten from them. I knew the moment they started calling for donations that they wanted to ‘punka’ Zambians. They raised the money and individuals want to keep it for themselves, hence creating a fake story. Just send the money to polling agents,” he said.
