UPND PLANNED VIOLENCE IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE TO CANCEL ELECTIONS SAYS MAKEBI ZULU.
Toonse Pamodzi Alliance running mate Makebi Zulu has said that the UPND had planned to trigger violence in Southern Province in order to create grounds for the cancellation of the General Elections.

Mr. Zulu claims the UPND’s intention was to create a situation of violence that could have been used to declare a national disaster and ultimately cancel the elections.

He says after receiving information about the alleged plan, the Alliance decided to hold its Southern Province rally virtually to avoid a situation that could have led to the elections being cancelled.

Mr. Zulu has further claimed that load shedding will resume immediately if the UPND and President Hakainde Hichilema are given a second mandate.

Speaking during a virtual rally held yesterday in Lusaka for Southern Province, Mr. Zulu said the UPND was scared because it knew that it was losing the elections.

“We are aware that the UPND’s intention was to create a situation of violence that could have been used to declare a national disaster and ultimately cancel these elections. We avoided that because we know that we are winning,” he said.

“If you vote for the UPND and Hakainde Hichilema again, you will have Loadsheding immediately ” he said.

Meanwhile, NRPUP Presidential Candidate Brian Mundubile says the party decided to stay away from Southern Province because it did not want to risk the lives of innocent people.

Mr. Mundubile said the party would not allow political differences to result in innocent people losing their lives.

  1. Zambia’s desperation for credible opposition resulted in the over hyping of these opportunistic individuals as opposition leaders. They are so clueless about what they will do if elected hence the only political message they have for campaigns is hallucinated propaganda all the time. It’s a shame to reduce the country’s over 30years democracy to this mediocrity.
