Iran Claims Ballistic Missiles Can Change Trajectory Mid-Flight
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says some of the country’s ballistic missiles have advanced guidance capabilities that allow them to modify their trajectory after launch and maneuver to complicate enemy air-defense efforts
IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi said Iran’s missiles are no longer simply launched toward a predetermined target.
“Our missiles are guided, and some of them are even capable of modifying their trajectory and maneuvering against enemy air-defense systems,”
Mohebbi, cited by Fars News Agency, also claimed that the target assigned to a missile could be changed during flight, allowing operators to redirect it toward a different objective
The claims highlight Iran’s continued emphasis on developing maneuverable and guided missile systems designed to challenge sophisticated air-defense networks.
