NRPUP To Take Drastic Action as Mundubile Campaign Falters

By Anderson Mwale

Brian Mundubile’s latest internal polling numbers have confirmed what many have known for some time; the hype of his early rallies has now given way to the brutal realities of running a full Presidential campaign.

With his campaign war-chest now empty, his brother-in-law exposing him to the country, his Presidential chairman threatening murder, and his running mate already recruiting consultants for 2031, there are very few options left for the beleaguered Brian Mundubile.

In a meeting this week at his residence, attended by a known former PF ambassador, the following options were discussed as final public relations stunts for the dying moments of the campaign.

1. Faking an attack on his residence*

A step-by-step plan had been drawn up for a proposed “attack” on the Mundubile residence, including the use of Huawei security camera footage to show “thugs” entering the gate.

2. An AI Generated video of Edgar Lungu

Releasing a “new” video of ECL, which would contain AI content purporting to place the blame for his death on President Hichilema.

3. *The Esther plan B*

To air a live-broadcast of former first lady Esther Lungu appealing to Zambians to vote for Mundubile.

4. Sponsoring violence in Kanyama

To use former PF thugs to cause unrest at President Hichilema’s scheduled rally in Kanyama, and to continue sponsored cadre violence throughout election day, and into the weekend.

While Brian Mundubile’s campaign sparked genuine interest from many PF supporters in May and June this year, the campaign has since run out of steam, run out of money, and run out of time.

The extreme actions being discussed at the highest levels of the NRPUP must now give way to reason, and calmer heads must prevail.

Zambia deserves better.
