Ukraine Strikes Russia’s Novorossiysk Naval Base in Major Deep Attack
Ukraine says its Defense Forces launched a major overnight operation against Russia’s naval base in Novorossiysk, more than 300 kilometers from the front line and one of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s key remaining strongholds.
Ukraine said Palianytsia jet-powered drones, Neptune missiles and unmanned naval systems were used in the operation, striking multiple designated targets.
According to Ukraine, the attack hit Russian air-defense positions, naval piers and infrastructure inside the seaport.
The operation represents a significant deep strike against a strategic Russian naval facility, demonstrating Ukraine’s ability to target military infrastructure far behind the front line
Ukraine’s leadership said the Russian fleet and the infrastructure supporting it would remain vulnerable as long as the war continues, while calling for diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
