NEWS UPDATE: POLICE ARREST SEVEN IN CHAMINUKA CEO MURDER
The Zambia Police Service says seven men have been arrested in connection with the murder and aggravated robbery of Chaminuka Resort CEO, 64-year-old Stelios Sardinis.
Sardinis was killed at Chaminuka Lodge in Chisamba District between 01:00 and 01:15 hours on August 9th.
Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi says four suspects were arrested earlier, while three more were apprehended in Lusaka on August 11th. All seven are Lusaka residents and remain in police custody.
Investigations are continuing to establish what happened and the role of each suspect.
Police have also warned against unverified claims linking the murder to politics, urging the public to stop spreading rumours that could compromise investigations and further distress the bereaved family.
