Go back to your polling station says Brian Mundubile
… you must protect your vote today

Leading opposition presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has called on Zambians to return to their respective polling stations to protect their ballots immediately after voting concludes.
Speaking shortly after casting his vote on Thursday, Mundubile pressed voters to remain vigilant during the critical counting phase of the highly contested election.
“I’m calling upon all of you fellow Zambians that have voted along with me today to go back to your polling station and stay there and protect your vote after the stations close at 18hrs,” Mundubile stated.
The opposition leader also raised serious concerns over significant administrative delays in the northern regions of the country, demanding an immediate response from the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ).
“I am also concerned that some polling stations in Northern Province didn’t open doors to voters until 13hrs instead of 6am. ECZ must explain this,” Mundubile said.
Framing the high-stakes election as a referendum on civil liberties and economic hardship, Mundubile added, “Remember this is a vote against cyber laws; it’s a vote for free expression and association, including poverty reduction.”
The election has narrowed down to a fierce two-horse race between Mundubile, who heads the opposition alliance under a banner of youth rejuvenation, and the incumbent President Hakainde Hichilema.
Hichilema, popularly known as “Bally,” is seeking a second term on a platform of macroeconomic recovery and international debt restructuring.
However, his administration faces intense public scrutiny over skyrocketing living costs and restrictive cyber regulations that critics argue have stifled free speech.
With 8.5 million registered voters heading to the polls amid quiet streets and heavy queues, the outcome will determine whether Zambia continues with Hichilema’s stringent economic adjustments or shifts toward Mundubile’s promised new beginning. Source: Brian Mundubile press conference*
