Israel Alarmed by Iran’s Rapid Military Reconstruction
Israel is increasingly concerned by the speed at which Iran is rebuilding its military capabilities, just four months after the end of the main fighting in the 2026 conflict.
According to Israeli media reports, military and intelligence officials have been surprised by the pace of Iran’s reconstruction, particularly in the ballistic-missile sector.
Satellite imagery analyzed by The Wall Street Journal reportedly shows restoration work at several Iranian military and industrial facilities. This includes renewed access to missile-base tunnels in Dezful and Kangavar, as well as construction activity at Raja Shimi Industries near Tehran, a site suspected of producing missile components.
The developments are raising concern in Israel as Tehran works to replenish missile stocks following the heavy strikes it suffered during the war.
Israeli and U.S. assessments had estimated that Iran possessed roughly 2,500 ballistic missiles before the conflict.
For Israel, the central question is therefore no longer simply how many missiles Iran has left, but how quickly Tehran can rebuild its arsenal and restore its ability to sustain a major missile campaign.
