FORMER EFF LEADER MBUYISENI NDLOZI PRAISES RAMAPHOSA, SAYS HIS STAND AGAINST ISRAEL PROVES HE IS NOT A “WHITE PUPPET” DESPITE GROWING CRITICISM AT HOME
Former EFF national spokesperson Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has sparked debate after praising President Cyril Ramaphosa’s position on the Israel-Gaza conflict, arguing that South Africa’s actions on the international stage show independence from powerful Western interests.
Ndlozi said Ramaphosa’s support for Gaza and South Africa’s decision to pursue legal action against Israel at the International Court of Justice demonstrate a willingness to challenge major global powers despite diplomatic pressure.
His comments come at a time when Ramaphosa continues to receive mixed reactions from South Africans. While some have applauded his government’s foreign policy stance, others remain critical of issues closer to home, including corruption allegations, unemployment, crime, service delivery failures and the fallout from the Phala Phala controversy.
The remarks have triggered intense discussion online, with supporters saying Ramaphosa deserves credit for South Africa’s international leadership, while critics argue that foreign policy achievements do not erase the country’s domestic challenges.
