IRGC Adviser Warns U.S. Bases Could Be Seized if Washington Uses Nuclear Weapons

A senior adviser to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned that U.S. military bases around the world could be targeted or seized if Washington uses nuclear weapons against Iran.

Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi said a U.S. nuclear strike would trigger a major Iranian response, warning that the consequences would extend far beyond Iran itself.

Iran has also signaled that it is prepared for a prolonged confrontation, seeking to use time and sustained pressure as strategic leverage rather than allowing the conflict to be decided quickly.

The warning comes amid continued tensions over the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s confrontation with the United States, with Tehran seeking to use its control of the strategic waterway as additional leverage in negotiations.

The latest threat marks another sharp escalation in Iranian rhetoric, particularly over the possibility of Washington expanding military operations against Iran.
