Navy Veteran Challenges Trump Over Exhausted Sailors

Navy combat veteran and Congressman Chris Deluzio sharply criticized President Donald Trump after Trump dismissed concerns over sailors who have spent more than nine months deployed in the Middle East
Deluzio said families are reporting that sailors and Marines are being pushed to the brink, with concerns over food supplies and mental health aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.
Trump reportedly said the carrier’s record-setting deployment was “not nearly long enough.”
Deluzio responded that Trump should say that directly to the families and sailors affected, calling the comments “disrespectful” and demanding accountability from the commander in chief.
He is also urging Congress to investigate conditions aboard the carrier, including potentially bringing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth before lawmakers or sending members of Congress to inspect the ship.
