MICHELLE KAZALA WINS CHINGOLA CENTRAL.

NRPUP parliamentary Candidate Michelle Phiri Kazala, has officially been declared winner of the Chingola West Parliamentary elections.
Michelle Phiri Kalaza, emerged victorious after polling 20, 948 votes against UPND candidate Joseph Kazhila who polled 10,182 votes.
The Constituency in question had a number of concerns by members of the NRPUP alleging that the results were being tempered with, calling for a halt to rectify the matter.
The aggrieved party alleged that some of the results that were counted for their candidate were given to the UPND parliamentary Candidate but the ECZ presiding officer could not confirm the allegations as the process was being handled transparently with all stakeholders present.
After an engagement with the electoral stakeholders, the matter was resolved, resulting into the final announcement which was made this morning.
Chingola District has so far announced results for two constituencies and only remaining with Chingola Central Constituency.
