I love my country deeply, which is why I find it impossible to accept the narrative that some of my colleagues are being labeled as militias.
My routine was to travel two days ahead of the President to gather firsthand information on the everyday challenges our people face. The reason our presidential candidate was able to address these issues so directly is that I briefed President Mundubile before every rally. Hearing claims now that he was backed by militias is truly shocking!
I stood behind the messages he delivered at those rallies because he gave us a clear mandate to serve. To suggest that he had any ill motive is something I simply cannot believe. At the end of the day, all we want is a better Zambia for everyone not to cause confusion or division.
We have a genuine PVT in place that if allowed will prove to you all that the will of the Zambian People has prevailed. Maybe the crime was when he said Zambia is not Tanzania and not claims of militias as being involved.
We dont want to inherit a broken government as we would want to lead a country that is at peace and united.
Its our wish to build from where the UPND has left and not lead a broken system. We love our country and no one will change this fact.
I remain MZ
