OPPOSITION LEADERS CONGRATULATE HH ON VICTORY
Four opposition leaders who participated in the 2026 general election have conceded defeat and congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema on his electoral victory.
Organised People’s Party (OPP) presidential candidate Brian Mushimba said Zambians had spoken and that he respected their decision.
In a statement, Dr Mushimba congratulated President Hichilema and wished him wisdom, strength and courage as he prepares to lead the country for another five years.
Meanwhile, Democratic Union Party president Ackim Njobvu described President Hichilema’s victory as a victory for every patriotic Zambian.
Mr Njobvu urged the President to continue uniting the country and promoting national unity.
Leadership Movement president Richard Silumbe also congratulated President Hichilema on his victory and thanked Zambians who supported his candidature during the election.
And New Focus Party (NFP) presidential candidate Richwell Siamunene also congratulated President Hichilema, saying the outcome should now pave the way for unity and continued development in Zambia.
Ni shani uko ba Kalaba naba M’membe. Ati Zambians have decided to retire HH. He is a one term President. HH is a failure!
Wow!! 2.967million votes equivalent to 61% of valid votes cast. We now know who the noise makers are. Very soon they will start saying I have been denied permits for rallies 39 times and yet when it was time for rallies they went into hiding!
It is time to focus on developing the country. Time for politics and rallies will be May-July 2031.
