TRUMP SAYS NORTH KOREA’S KIM JONG UN HAS 57 NUCLEAR MISSILES
Former U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking about North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, said Kim possesses 57 powerful nuclear missiles, while acknowledging that such an arsenal should never have been allowed to develop.
Trump said he knows Kim well and described their relationship as a good one, suggesting that continued U.S. leadership under a “smart president” could help maintain a stable relationship with Pyongyang.
“Kim Jong Un has 57 powerful nuclear missiles. That should never have been allowed to happen, but now he has them. I know Kim very well. We have a good relationship. As long as we have a smart president, Kim will be fine,” Trump said.
The remarks come amid renewed tensions over North Korea’s expanding nuclear and missile capabilities and its increasingly close military ties with Russia.
