UPND SPOKESPERSON DISMISSES ALLEGATIONS THAT RULING PARTY MANIPULATED RESULTS
UPND Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa has described the recently concluded August 13 General Election as transparent and credible, dismissing allegations that the ruling party manipulated results in some constituencies to favour its candidates.
Speaking to Hot FM News, Mr Mweetwa said the Tonse Pamodzi Alliance should stop accusing the UPND of interfering with election results.
Mr Mweetwa said the outcome of the election reflects the will of the Zambian people, who, according to him, rejected some candidates based on their performance while in government.
He said the UPND did not manipulate the election process and that candidates who lost should accept the verdict of the electorate.
