Lisa Mutalu started vomiting after arriving at her residence — Police
25-YEAR-OLD Socialite identified as Lisa Mutalu, has died suddenly after reportedly becoming unconscious at her residence in Kalundu, Lusaka.
The Zambia Police Service says the incident occurred between 03:30 and 04:30 hours on August 20, 2026, and was reported to Chelstone Police Station around 09:30 hours.
According to police, Mutalu had been socialising with two female friends at a named hotel where she served as an ambassador before the three later proceeded to another drinking place in Lusaka.
Police say between 02:30 and 03:00 hours, Mutalu’s boyfriend, identified as Caleb Lisa, also known as Andrea, arrived and picked up the three women.
He reportedly dropped the two friends in the Minestone/Casanova area before remaining with Mutalu and taking her to their residence in Kalundu.
Police say Mutalu began vomiting after arriving at the residence and subsequently became unconscious.
Her boyfriend reportedly contacted a friend, who assisted in taking her to Victoria Hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police officers processed both the primary and secondary scenes, while the body was initially deposited at FSG Mortuary before being transferred to the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Police say no physical injuries were observed on the body.
An inquiry file has been opened, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.
The Zambia Police Service says it will provide further information as investigations progress.
