PRESIDENT HICHILEMA SET FOR FASTER, MORE AGGRESSIVE SECOND TERM – MTONGA
UPND member George Mtonga says President Hakainde Hichilema will adopt a significantly different approach during his second term, with greater speed and aggression in pursuing development.
Mtonga says the President’s first five years were largely focused on fixing the country’s foundations, which required caution, but that the next five years will focus on accelerating growth.
“The Hakainde Hichilema you will see over the next 5 years will be dramatically different from the one that you saw over the last 5 years,” Mtonga said.
He says President Hichilema has now built the infrastructure and systems needed to accelerate his agenda, urging those working with him to keep pace.
“You will have to all keep up, he is increasing speed by at least 100%,” he said.
Mtonga has also urged officials to anticipate the President’s needs and think several steps ahead.
“I CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH.. Create Value!!” he said.
