Ukraine Warns North Korea Has Supplied Russia With New Bunker-Busting Ballistic Missiles
Ukraine has warned that North Korea has supplied Russia with new, highly destructive ballistic missiles capable of striking heavily fortified and hardened targets.
According to the Ukrainian assessment, the weapons include the KN-30, also known as the Hwasong-11C, reportedly capable of reaching targets up to 600 kilometers away and carrying an estimated 2.5-ton warhead.
Kyiv says the missile’s combination of range and payload could give Russia a significant strike capability against heavily fortified or distant targets, potentially exceeding the payload capacity of Russia’s Iskander-M system.
Ukraine also claims that Pyongyang has deployed a complete military unit including missile technicians and launchers to Russia’s Voronezh region to help coordinate and conduct missile operations against Ukrainian targets.
If confirmed, the deployment would represent a further deepening of Russia–North Korea military cooperation and could provide Moscow with additional ballistic-missile capabilities for its war against Ukraine.
