BM8 URGES CALM FOLLOWING EZRA TEMBO STATEMENT, CALLS FOR JUSTICE IN KAFWAYA DEATH
BM8 Movement has called on its members to remain calm following a statement issued by NRPUP President Ezra Tembo, saying it is not aware of the circumstances surrounding the statement and will issue a formal position after consultations.
In a statement issued by Secretary General Anthony Kasandwe, the movement urged members to avoid making remarks against Mr. Tembo and NRPUP Secretary General Nonde, saying the situation requires restraint and unity.
BM8 has also joined calls for justice and accountability over the death of former Lunte Member of Parliament Mutotwe Kafwaya, describing him as a person who could not harm a fly.
The movement has further advised elected officials under NRPUP and the Tonse Alliance to contact the secretariat for further guidance, stressing that politics should be about serving the people and that Zambia needs healing.
