STATE CONDUCTING LAWFUL PROBE, NOT ARBITRARY ARRESTS
STATE House Communication Specialist Clayson Hamasaka says security and law-enforcement agencies are conducting lawful investigations into suspected criminal activities and not carrying out arbitrary arrests
Mr Hamasaka said the investigations follow reports involving the discovery of military-grade weapons at private residences, alleged specialised training abroad, threats of violence and calls for the assassination of the sitting Head of State.
He said such allegations raised serious national security concerns and warranted investigations to establish the facts, secure evidence and determine whether offences had been committed.
Mr Hamasaka said investigations should be conducted professionally and within the law, with suspects afforded their right to due process.
He urged citizens and media commentators to avoid portraying lawful investigations as political persecution, saying the State had a responsibility to protect the country, its democratic institutions and citizens from threats to national security.

Which security institution would sit idle when military grade hardware is found in a private residence? We have to be realistic. We have seen this happen in other countries and would not like to fall victims of such. Well done to our security institutions. We want peace and prosperity. Not everyone wants to be president, there those of us who just want to live our lives in peace.

All appointees prior to the election cease when the elected official period expires.
We have a “President-elect” at this juncture. Until the man takes oath. State that you speak for the President-elect. Not State House.
Administratively, you still may be getting a salary cause of the contracts you hold.
But its important to act a professionals at this point and not add to already persistent confusion being spread by the Opposition that suggest they want to petition. Speak for the President elect and the Holder office has YET to take office and is only President elect. And you as civil servant have no boss whose opinion you seem to give here.
