Luapula Influencer Mbulo Jack Steps Away From Political Discussions After Elections
LUAPULA — Popular Luapula social media influencer Mbulo Jack has announced that he is stepping away from political posts and discussions on his social media page following the August 13 elections.
In a statement shared on Facebook, Mbulo said he had decided to officially log off from political conversations, choosing instead to focus on other areas such as life, work, sports, business and general social interaction.
Mbulo said the political atmosphere had become increasingly intense, with strong emotions and disagreements affecting relationships among friends and families.
He said the experience had made him realise how deeply politics can affect people’s lives, particularly when political differences begin to damage relationships built over many years.
“I treasure my friendships deeply, and I refuse to let political differences ruin the relationships I have built over the years,” Mbulo said.
The Luapula influencer clarified that his decision was not about blocking or unfriending people with different political views. Instead, he said he would simply remove himself from political debates.
Mbulo also encouraged his followers to prioritise peace and relationships, stressing that friendships and human connections should remain important even after elections.
His inbox and comment section, he said, would remain open for positive vibes, genuine conversations and real connections.
The decision by the Luapula influencer comes after a highly charged election period, as citizens across the country engaged in passionate political discussions both online and offline.
Mbulo’s message has therefore been interpreted as a call for calm and reconciliation as people move beyond the election season.
