Brian Mundubile’s Team Charged with Treason
Police in Lusaka today charged the 11 individuals found with Hon. Brian Mundubile during a militry raid to his house on 14th August 2026.
Leading candidate, Brian Mundubile had just arrived at his home located on Kudu road in Kabulonga with the entourage after a consultative meeting with the joint African Union and COMESA Election Observation Mission for Zambia’s Election led by former Prime Minister, Hailemariam Dessalegn Boshe.
Shortly upon arrival at his residence, they were attacked by a military invasion that saw soldiers shoot and kill former Minister of Transports and Communications, Mutotwe Kafwaya.
Those charged with Treason are; Bishop Trevor Mwamba, (68), renowned lawyer, Mr. George Kangwa Chisanga, (59), Mr. Patrick Mwansa, (39) businessman and former civic leader, ex-servicemen Mr. Jackson Mutyoka,(41) Mr. Brazil Soko, (56) andMr. Bernard Chewe,( 41).
Others are; Mr. Simon Phiri, Aged 43, Mr. Richard Banda, Aged 49, Mr. Francis Mulenga, Aged 26,Mr. Emmanuel Mulenga, Aged 56, Mr. Darius Mwila, Aged 57.
President Hakainde Hichilema has accused his rival, Brian Mundubile of forming a militia.
Mundubile has dismissed the assertions stating that Hichilema was preventing the truth that he and soldiers from the Zambia Army had stolen the election.
Mundubile and his running mate, Makebi Zulu have taken shelter at the United Nations Building.
The Inspector General of Police has since issued a call-out that the duo must report to the police to answer to charges of treason and insurrection.
United Nations Human Rights Chief Volker Türk urged the Zambian government to immediately stop arbitrary arrests and detentions of opposition figures following the country’s general election.
The UN called for full respect for due process and fair legal standards for all individuals held.
We are dealing with a government headed by a chicken. The only offence Mundubile and Makebi have committed is to win the 2026 elections. HH is dead scared to allow these people free because then the electoral manipulation he did to declare themselves winners will all be exposed. Who runs a militia in his bedroom where his wife and children are. Is employing an ex Commando an offence in Zambia ? Is employing an ex police officer an offence ? Yes it is under HH because he is scared even of his own shadow. The HH government is a government of criminals and time will soon catch up with them. They raided Mundubile’s house to assassinate him and ended up assassinating Hon Mutotwe Kafwaya. They tried to hide his killing but they failed. They are criminals running a country like a Mafia Organisation. To suppress the opposition to the point of eliminating them from the political scene, they have come up with a militia ruse to justify their actions against innocent Zambians. Your days are numbered Mr Hakainde Hichilema. You can’t treat God’s people like this and expect to live long. Blood speaks. I have lived in Europe for more than 20 years and wherever I go am always asked how Zambia has managed to be so peaceful in Africa. And here you are after dividing the nation through your tribal agenda and selfish political ambitions , you have killed Mutotwe Kafwaya, you have killed many others , you have arrested many others and to cling to power you have created a militia narrative in you head. This will not last because the truth will surely come out and be told to the great Zambian people who are yearning for truth on how you manipulated the vote and declared yourself a winner. Stop being a chicken Mr President; be bold , be a man with political muscle and face the opposition on the level playing field . Then Zambians will respect you and the world will respect You
