U.S. Military Escorts 1,300 Ships Through Strait of Hormuz
The U.S. military has assisted around 1,300 vessels in transiting the Strait of Hormuz, carrying approximately 660 million barrels of oil, according to CNBC and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
CENTCOM says the average flow has reached roughly 7 million barrels of oil per day over the past three weeks.
That figure remains significantly below the estimated 20 million barrels per day that passed through the strategic waterway before the war, highlighting the continued disruption to global energy flows.
The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical chokepoint for international oil supplies, with the U.S. military increasing its maritime presence and assisting commercial shipping through the waterway.
