WINNING BY OVER 1 MILLION VOTES SHOWS THAT ZAMBIANS TRUST HH – MUFALALI
Senanga South Member of Parliament elect, Likando Mufalali, says the party’s victory margin of more than one million votes demonstrates that Zambians still have confidence in President-elect Hakainde Hichilema and the United Party for National Development UPND.
Mr. Mufalali who is also UPND Chairperson for Elections and Campaigns said the more than 1 million votes secured by the UPND in the presidential election was a strong endorsement of the party’s policies, programmes and vision for the country.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr. Mufalali said the UPND had delivered on its promises during its first five-year term, and that the election outcome reflected the confidence Zambians have placed in the party to continue governing.
He said the election result was confirmation that Zambians had responded positively to government’s record and had chosen continuity by voting for President Hakainde Hichilema.
He said the focus of the UPND government will now be on growing the economy, creating opportunities and improving the livelihoods of Zambians.
Mr. Mufalali said government would need to build on the progress made during its first term and ensure that development benefits citizens across the country.
