BREAKING: Israel Says It Does Not Want War With Türkiye

Israel says it does not want to enter into a direct military confrontation with Türkiye amid rising tensions between the two countries.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said Israel does not want to further escalate tensions with Türkiye and would prefer to resolve disputes through diplomatic channels.

However, Sa’ar also issued a warning that could further fuel tensions, saying Israel would continue taking measures to protect its national security.

“We are working to protect our security. We will not ignore President Erdoğan’s statements, and we will not accept Türkiye establishing military bases on Syrian territory,” Sa’ar said.

The remarks come amid growing tensions over Türkiye’s expanding military presence and activities in Syria, with Israel increasingly warning that Ankara’s moves could create a new security challenge in the region.

Despite the increasingly sharp rhetoric, Israel says it prefers a diplomatic solution and does not seek a direct conflict with Türkiye.
