China Rejects U.S. Interference in Its Relations With Iran

China has pushed back against the United States over its relationship with Iran, saying Washington has no right to dictate or interfere in Beijing’s ties with Tehran.

Chinese officials stressed that China and Iran are sovereign states with the right to conduct normal diplomatic and economic relations based on their own interests.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with China continuing to maintain engagement with Iran despite growing pressure from the United States.

Beijing has repeatedly opposed what it describes as unilateral sanctions and external interference, arguing that disputes involving Iran should be addressed through dialogue and diplomacy rather than coercion.

The latest remarks could further highlight the widening diplomatic divide between China and the United States over Iran and the broader security situation in the Middle East.
