PUTIN BRIEFED ON RATCLIFFE’S MOSCOW TALKS
Russian President Vladimir Putin was briefed on the outcome of talks between CIA Director John Ratcliffe and senior Russian intelligence officials during his unannounced visit to Moscow, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
According to Peskov, the discussions were conducted strictly at the intelligence-service level, with Ratcliffe holding meetings with his Russian counterparts but not meeting directly with Putin.
The rare contact comes amid heightened U.S.-Russia tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts over the war in Ukraine.
