Three senior U.S. Secret Service officials have reportedly been suspended amid an internal investigation into “potential misconduct.”

Among those suspended is Secret Service Communications Director Anthony Guglielmi. The officials have reportedly had their security clearances suspended, their government-issued electronic devices confiscated, and have been formally barred from entering the Secret Service headquarters in Washington.

The investigation, led by the agency’s Office of Professional Responsibility, reportedly involves the FBI and is examining how highly sensitive or classified information was leaked to the media.

According to reports, the leaked information included details surrounding the alleged security measures taken to protect President Donald Trump, including claims about when he was placed inside a food container before being transferred to another aircraft in Turkey following reported Iranian threats.

The investigation is ongoing.
