EXTRADITION PAPERS SERVED ON TRIPLE MURDER SUSPECT NDODANA TSHUMA
The State says it has completed its investigations into Zimbabwe born and Britain citizen Ndodana Tshuma and has formally served him with an extradition request from the United Kingdom.
Appearing at Johannesburg Magistrate’s Courts on August 6, 2026, prosecutor Khadijah told the court that investigations, including ballistics tests linked to a firearm allegedly found with Tshuma, had been finalised.
She said the full docket and the UK’s official extradition papers had been handed over to the defence.
The State said it is ready to proceed with the extradition hearing.
Defence lawyer Mr. Machingura, however, said his team was in talks with the State over a possible plea and sentence agreement in terms of Section 105A of the Criminal Procedure Act.
“We are in negotiations to try and reach a 105A,” Machingura told the court, adding that he needed more time to consult with his client on both the extradition documents and the firearm docket.
Presiding Magistrate Manda postponed the case to September 8 and 10, 2026, for finalisation of plea negotiations and the formal extradition proceedings.
Tshuma, who said he understood the court process, remains in custody until his next appearance.
